Latest Campbell/Inside Mortgage Finance Survey Reveals

 

WASHINGTON DC (April 19) – First-time homebuyers drove the housing market in March, posting a record high share, according to the latest Campbell/Inside Mortgage Finance Monthly Survey of Real Estate Market Conditions.

 

The closely-watched survey found that a huge 48.2% of March's home purchase transactions were attributable to first-time homebuyers. This eclipsed the previous peak of 46.9% reached last October when the expected November expiration of the original homebuyer tax credit sent purchases by first-time homebuyers soaring.

 

The once again expiring tax credit at the end of April combined with the start of the spring home buying season appeared to play a major role in bringing out first-time homebuyers in large numbers during March.

 

The strong participation of first-time homebuyers this spring is a welcome surprise, commented Thomas Popik, research director for Campbell Surveys. Many observers had felt that the pool of first time homebuyers had been depleted last fall, but this is turning out not to be the case. Instead, the normal spring-summer buying season is combining with the tax credit to produce blow-out results for first-time homebuyers.

 

The surge in first-time homebuyer activity in March came at the same time the volume of distressed properties in the housing market climbed to over 50%, according to the Campbell/Inside Mortgage Finance survey. This was far above the low of 37.3% recorded in November, when a combination of government-mandated loan modification efforts and foreclosure moratoriums significantly reduced the inventory of distressed properties in the housing market.

 

First-time homebuyers were particularly attracted to what has turned out to be the most popular form of distressed property home sale transaction -- the so-called short sale. The latest survey found that short sales accounted for 18.6% of the housing market in March.

 

None of the survey results take into account the new Home Affordable Foreclosures Alternative (HAFA) program for short sales, commented Popik. This government program took effect in early April, so we expect short sales to account for an even greater proportion of the real estate market in coming months.

We questioned models about their cam site happiness after gathering earnings data. Models rated their pleasure from 1 to 5, with 5 being happy. Our study identified Stripchat to be the most liked cam site, with models ranking it 4.3 out of 5 stars. Chaturbate, Xmodels, and Streamate had 4 stars or more. LiveJasmin was the most loathed cam site, earning 2.5 out of 5 ratings on average. This makes sense given that LiveJasmin was the lowest-paying cam site. LiveJasmin's effective model compensation is below the federal minimum wage in the U.S. Different Broadcasters' Average Pay. In the last section of this research, we'll compare webcam models' earnings by kind of broadcaster (e.g. Girls, Male, Trans, Couples, Milf or Teen webcams). We observed that female broadcasters spent the most time camming and paid the most per hour, resulting in female cam models earning almost twice what their male colleagues do. Female models make $1,093 per week, or $61 per hour, while male models get $409 per week, or $33 per hour. Trans broadcasters came in second, earning $940 per week and $50 per hour. Based on our survey data, couples camming less than any other broadcaster type and earn $205 per week or $35 per hour on average.
